| Heading out and about with someone is MUCH better than being alone... every so
often, we'll catch our shadows standing together... and sometimes, we even catch
them on camera. This is my second year of the "Shadows"... I'm sure they'll be
even MORE opportunities this year!

| August - Shadows In Iceland |
| To be honest, it wasn't very sunny in
Iceland, but when it was, we managed to catch our shadows traveling
along with us. |

| July - Shadows at Mt Rainier |
| We went up to the Paradise Visitors Center
on Mt Rainier to beat the heat... and ended up seeing our shadows on a
rock poking out of a high mountain stream |

| On a nice Saturday evening, we went up to
Chinook Pass to go on a hike around Naches Peak. With the sun
angling down to the horizon, we managed to catch a nice picture of our
shadows with us... |

| We took a walk along the trails at Discovery
Park, in Seattle, and on the trail along the water front, coming
from the West Point Lighthouse to the trail that heads up the bluff
to the South Parking Lot, we saw our shadows a bit ahead of us, and
took this picture. |

| We started out the month of July with a hike
up to Twin Falls, which really made for some incredible scenery! |

| We went to watch the sunset at Alki, and
shortly after getting out of the car, we noticed our shadows...
We both got a kick out of how long our legs were! OK, so we're
still kids at heart! :-) To me, that's a good thing! |

| June - Shadows at Coulon Beach Park |
| At a park near Fry's is a walking area along
the water front, called Coulon Beach Park.
Every so often, we'll go to there and grab a bite to eat - they
have a Kid Valley and, awesomely enough, an Ivar's there, too -
then take a walk along the path that follows the shoreline.
Its a great place to walk, enjoy a nice day, and talk. |

Snoqualmie |

| While snowshoeing up in Snoqualmie Pass, we
took a stroll out onto the plain next to a lake, and had a great time in
the fresh air. Before too long, the sun started to set, and we
started noticing our shadows against the white snow... |

| January - Shadows at Marymoor |
| The Shadow Lady and I went to Marymoor Park
to check out the water, and to kill off some time.
While walking, we noticed a submerged landing, and walked down to the
river's edge to check it out. While we were walking along the
sidewalk's rail - still out of the water after the walkway had been
submerged - we noticed our shadows on the water... |
