No Storm... Yet

Tropical Depression 13 formed in the Bay of Campeche on Monday morning and has quickly strengthened into Tropical Storm Marco. Marco is a tiny storm with maximum sustained winds of 65 mph and is moving to the WNW at about 7 mph.

Marco may flirt with hurricane strength overnight. As a result tropical storm warnings have been issued along the Mexican coast from Cabo Rojo to Punta El Lagarto. A hurricane watch is in effect from Cabo Rojo to Veracruz.

Landfall of the system is expected to occur Tuesday morning along the Mexico coast near Veracruz. From there it should move inland and rain itself out over the mountains.

October 7 - Not too impressive of a storm, but blowing ashore

Maximum sustained winds are 65 mph and it is moving to the west at about 8 miles per hour (as of 10 a.m. CDT).
