| The season begins on June 8th... | |

0n June 8th, at 5PM Eastern Daylight Time, TD1 was formed. Shortly afterwards, a ship recorded winds that raised the level to a Tropical Storm... Arlene was born. Wind Shear was thought to be too high for development into a hurricane.

| After 24 hours, the storm strengthened, and started moving much faster... the thought was that it would indeed reach hurricane strength by the time it hit landfall, which was expected along the Florida Panhandle area. |

Passing by cuba, it looked like it was beginning to form up fairly nicely,
shear or no shear...

By Monday Morning, it was over... It ended up coming ashore on Saturday as a Tropical Storm, and quickly faded into memory...
