Check THIS out...
Why would there be indications of cutting on this image?
To see them, you go to the NASA site, and adjust the
exposure and lighting settings on the pictures... on more
than one of them, you'll see weirdness... I have to say...
the picture below seems to be more of a CONSTRUCT than a
RETOUCH...

"Look at the originals", a friend of mine
told me... the smaller ones, he explained, are compressed,
and should have anomalies in them... so I followed his
advice, and went to the GRIN site (Great Images in NASA),
which is a NASA-hosted website.... the images I got didn't
help the matter any, in my opinion...
Here's another one... a before and after, if
you will... I just turned the brightness up on the image
using a photo editor... try it for yourself! (its a
big, uncompressed picture... so it might take a while.)

Look at this one... the section in the
center is blurry... when I cropped it, and turned up the
brightness a bit... there's an odd shape on the horizon...
and the background is fuzzed out... it COULD be a smudge on
the lens, but the rest of the images from the mission don't
display a similar smudge... (http://grin.hq.nasa.gov/IMAGES/LARGE/GPN-2000-001136.jpg)

This image, from Apollo 12, shows Bean
Descending down the ladder from Intrepid. Seems OK,
until you turn up the brightness... (http://grin.hq.nasa.gov/IMAGES/LARGE/GPN-2000-001317.jpg)
it almost seems they're hiding the
background or something...

If you look at THIS picture... you get the
idea that maybe there's something to black out... (this was
cropped from the "Antigravity machine" page (Moon
Hoax? On mypnw.us: The Antigravity Machine).

In this picture... the lens flare seems to
be coming from TWO light sources...

The flares seem to look more like lamps than
the sun... and they seem to have a structure behind them...
the long lens flares seem to almost be cropped in over the
top of the picture, there's what looks to me to be a cut
edge on the lower one, just to the left of the lander...

In this last image, from Apollo 11, Neil is digging out an
experiment from the Eagle's storage box... when I turned up
the brightness, I noticed an interesting pattern in the sky.
It could be (and likely is) lens flare, but you'd think
they'd be rounded, like the one you can clearly see in the
"untweaked"
image... (http://grin.hq.nasa.gov/IMAGES/LARGE/GPN-2000-001209.jpg)
