100 years or so, and not much seems to have changed.

Biddeford was my hometown from about 8-ish until I left for the Army, in 1983.  I have family there, still, and I manage to get back there every so often, although not quite as often as I'd like.

Growing up, I'm pretty sure I remember that Biddeford had a population of about 14,000-17,000 or so.  Since, the population has grown to about 21,000 (2000)...

 Its growing, but not at the pace of some other cities in the state.  I remember that growing up it seemed to me that Biddeford was the 4th largest city... according to the 2000 Census, Biddeford now ranks 7th...
