A big fish in a small lake
Large Sturgeon washes up in Black Lake

On July 26, 2007, a large sturgeon washed up on the shore of Black Lake... it measured more than 7 feet long and weighed more than 300 pounds.

 The department of Fish and Wildlife said that the fish is likely more than 50 years old and likely died of old age

Black Lake is pretty small, and sits just to the south west of Olympia
