2005.04.23 - Saturday Sunrise

It seemed that it would be a nice sunrise, so I  grabbed at the opportunity, and decided to start the weekend off at The Mountain.

On this occasion, though, I took someone with me, and found that sharing the experience made it far better than I'd imagined it would have.

The Moon was amazing!  All the way down, we marveled at how it interacted with the clouds and trees... it was quite spectacular!

No matter how many times we go, the effect is the same... the wonderment of God's handiwork always mesmerizes me!

The quiet display unfolding seemingly just for us... its almost overwhelming!

There was a steam plume just beginning while we were there... I heard later on the news that it became quite spectacular later in the day, but we had already left to begin our weekend's chores.

Watching the scene unfold with us was the resident Elk Herd.  Their grunts and calls were the only noises breaking the silence.
The Sunrise, as one might expect, was quite spectacular, also!

After a bit, we departed, refreshed and revitalized, and started our weekend.
