Along Highway 101, near Port Orford, Oregon, a guy named
Earnie Nelson created a roadside stop out of some concrete,
rebar, and a whole bunch of sweat. On the day I happened
to stop at this attraction in the summer of 1997, I got to
talk to Earne, who was manning the store while his daughter,
who runs the place (or did at the time) now... I had a great
time listening to how he put them all together, and the care
he took for "accuracy" The sizes, and shapes of the
dino's are authentic to what he could gather from science
books, and many trips to museums. It was a fun time,
and I remember especially how passionate he was about it
all, even after all those years.
