Day 1: Getting There >>

We went to Guatemala on a missionary trip with Agros International, a Non Government Agency sponsored by three churches in our area, including ours.

In short, we had a Wonderful time!  It was a great experience, we saw some amazing things, and met some incredible people.  I personally feel I'm a better person for having gone.

Shadow Lady and I both brought our cameras, with extra memory sticks and batteries.  Between us, we took about 1580 pictures!  In order to make sense of them all, I decided to sort out the pictures by what day it was when they were taken, and use the narrative of my notes that I took while I was on the trip... 

Jack, our group leader, asked each of us to keep a log, so that he could assemble all of our notes to get as complete a picture of what we did while we were there as possible.  I took copious notes in a little "composition" notebook, which I'm using to fill out these pages.  I recorded times, events, thoughts, and end of the day thoughts... I'm VERY glad I did that!

This, then, is our version of the trip.
