0530 - Got up and put the coffee on.  The silver bullet works great!

It was a very calm morning again... there were a lot of dogs barking, and when one would bark, it started a whole chorus of them... it was somewhat annoying, but I managed to sleep OK.

I watched the shadows snake across the valley across the way... it was pretty interesting... and very relaxing!

0630 - Breakfast Crew Showed up.

0730 - Breakfast - we basically ate the rest of the breakfast stuff that wouldn't keep, and left the rest for the follow-on crews.

0900 - Out to La Esperanza

It was a fairly sunny day, once again... we'd gotten lucky, and avoided the famous winter rains... it was humid, and hot, but it didn't rain very much at all.

0940 - The ladies started to cook...

They were making some sort of dough-ball out of corn, and mixing it with beans that had been soaked until they were soft.

They had some sort of discussion about the dough between the ladies... seems there were some batches made differently or something...

They rolled the dough in leaves from bushes they found in the area.

They wet the dough packs down a bit, then set the pots over a fire, turning them every so often.
While that was going on, we visited with the folks in the village, saying our good-byes, and just sharing the time together.
They brought out some hoops, and I showed them a game I used to play as a kid... throw it out with a back spin, and have it come back to you, and see who could do it the farthest... it was hit, once they got the hang of it.

One of the kids had an interesting pet...

It was a fun time... the kids kept devising ways to get us to take their picture... and the adults kept wanting to pose for pictures with us... :-)
I drew a crowd when I let one of them hold the camera, and take a picture... she didn't center it, but that's OK...

Everyone ganged around to see how that one looked!

1240 - Lunch

When the food was ready, we piled in the schoolhouse, and got ready to eat.

They were pretty 'heavy', but they tasted great, and the sauce was awesome!  I tried Anna's sauce which was famously hot... it was fantastic!

I ate 8 of them, which wasn't a record, but they were quite happy that I enjoyed them... and were glad a "gringo" liked the sauce.

1430 - Final Meeting

Fernando, the minister, gave a short message about unity, quoting Paul: "stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel" Phil 1:27

The kids did a little skit, and sang some songs... it was a time for them to thank us for coming, and for us to thank them for their wonderful hospitality.

It was a good time.

After the meeting, we all piled outside, and they assembled on the steps, and we took a group photo.  It ended up that this was the only one they had of everyone.  I took two pictures, and merged them together to have a panoramic image... Agros used it on a plaque they made for village a bit later.
Then, we took some final pictures, and headed out for the last time.

The sunset when we got back to the Agros compound was pretty striking!
