Friends Landing Park

Friends Landing, just outside of Montesano, Washington is a small park maintained by Trout Unlimited, a non profit organization that includes both conservationists and recreational sport fishermen,  and Weyerhaeuser, the local timber company.  The park has fishing, boating, camping and walking.  The camping rates are VERY reasonable - a whopping $10.

But, we were just there to check things out... we'll be back, I'm sure...

The park sits along the side of a lake, and includes a walking path that surrounds the lake, and is  about 5 miles in total.

The ramp heads down to a small dock, to provide a landing for boats set in the boat ramp, which is nearby.
There's a pavilion, overlooks, and a swing set/kids play area set up to make the park family friendly... the thing that was missing when we went was People there... which was odd, considering it was a hot day, and a weekend...
We didn't have enough time to explore the park completely... but we saw enough to know that we'll come back before too long...
