Astoria Bridge, Astoria, WA Back to Bridges Stretching 4 miles across the Columbia River Estuary, the Astoria Bridge is one of the longest bridges on the West Coast.  It joins Washington to its neighbor, Oregon. The Bridge is HUGE!  The section of the bridge near the Astoria is quite high, to allow a variety of ships enter the Puget Sound.   Once past the high-rise area, the majority of the rest of the bridge runs down near the water line.
