Pictures of the Month for 2000
< Back

Well, I did it... I broke down, and joined the "Digital Camera" Camp.  I was a skeptic, but I got one for myself this Christmas.  Since I now have a way to get the pictures online easier than scanning them, I've decided to start a "Best of" page, where I'll pick a picture a month, and put it up on my website.

Hopefully, I'll get lucky enough to have one "good" one a month!  :-)

December
  Ready for the Season

Looking almost like a scene out of a Christmas Magazine... this restaurant has quickly become my FAVORITE place to eat in the Seattle Area!
Not because the food is so great, but because the drive there is so fun, and the view once you ARE there is so nice!

November
  The Home of Microsoft

This is the Headquarters of Microsoft, the nice folks who brought us DOS, Windows, and Office.
They must have brought flowers in from somewhere... its NOVEMBER!

October
  Famous Bridge

The Golden Gate Bridge has GOT to be one of the most photographed in the US... here's a different shot of it...
September
  BIG

This is the "business end" of a Saturn V rocket... which is HUGE!  I went to Florida to visit with my cousin, and we went to "the Cape" to watch the Shuttle take off... they cancelled the launch, but we got to see some pretty INCREDIBLE stuff, anyway!

August
  LET'S GO RED SOX!

Almost as if for my birthday, the Red Sox came to town to play the Mariners, and of course I managed to get some tickets!  Just before the game, Veritek - who is from Seattle - stretched out before warming up his catcher.
July
  A Light in the Stillness

Seeing a lighthouse over the water is always a nice thing... but managing to catch the glare of the light on the water... that's pretty special!

June
  A-Rod up to Bat

Bottom of the ninth, two men on, the Mariners down by one, and A-Rod comes up to bat...
Yep, he struck out, and the Mariners lost the game, but that's OK... A-Rod will come around, and so will the M's...  it's only June...

May
  Lady of the Lake

On a trip to Reno for a conference, I took a drive around lake Tahoe, and got to watch the Lady of the Lake come into the dock.

April
  Carpets of Color

The view was WAY more spectacular than the camera could capture... and the smells... Skagit County actually produces more tulips than does Holland... it doesn't have the reputation the little country has... but the tulips don't care... it is INCREDIBLE!
March
  First Moon

I FINALLY managed to catch a full moon with my digital camera that isn't just a big white dot in the sky...

February
  Interesting Clouds

As I was heading out from work, a sunbreak in the clouds made for an interesting view...
January
  Smith Tower

I took my new digital camera with me to a hockey game, and "took the long way home" so that I could check out how it did at night.
I managed to get a pretty cool picture of Smith Tower, which at one time was the tallest building West of the Mississippi River, until the Golden Gate Bridge was built.
