I didn't have a digital Camera until 2000 - I was a hold-out, thinking that film was better because it was "Pure".  I got over that one, that's for sure!

That unfortunately also means that I don't have a lot of pictures from then... not only didn't I take a lot of pictures of myself (I still don't), I took less pictures in general, too.

1996

The Great Flood of 1996.

A bridge had caught some branches, and was backing up a stream onto the property of a friend of mine, so I dug a ditch through the roadway, to let the water bypass the bridge.

It worked perfectly, and before long, the water was actually dropping.

Once I'd opened up the waterway, I only needed to disturb the bottom of the trench, and the water would push everything through... it got pretty deep, and there was a LOT of water moving through the trench before too long...

Here's me posing with a Russian SKS that I picked up at a gun show.

Of the rifles in this picture, its the only rifle I have left.

1997

This is me and my Mom, at her Sunday School Classroom at Bethany Baptist, in Saco.

It'd been a few years since I'd been home, so in 1997, I went home to see everyone.  I had a great time!

1998

In 1998, I visited the capital building of Minnesota... and Buddy, a friend of mine from church who was showing me around, took the "I was there" picture.

1999

In 1999, I stopped in Cawker City, Kansas, to get gas, and noticed the sign to "The World's Largest Ball of Twine."

Well, you know I couldn't pass THAT up!!!

In Debuque, Iowa, Buddy, Shawna, friends from church, took me to a museum, and since the sign said "Climb in and imagine yourself paddling the Mississippi in this canoe", we did.

on the field of dreams... They built it, and I came.

The obligatory "I was there" picture for Mt Rushmore... There's room for Reagan, just to the left of Washington... or even to the right of Lincoln!

This is me trying to look COOL at the Omaha Zoo.  It was pretty fun, actually... it rocked a lot, but it wasn't too bad.

Here's me standing near the sign to the "Continental Divide"

Here's me, in one of my "dumber" moments... I was driving at night, and I was pretty tired, and I thought it'd be a good idea to take a picture of myself.

I basically was blinded by the flash, and almost wrecked out!

Not my brightest moment, to be sure!

This is me in a bunker at a Naval artillery fort, that is now a monument and museum.

These shells are quite large!  Not sure of the caliber, but its safe to say "Big".
