We went up to the snow to spend a day playing up there. It ended up that the little guy's enthusiasm for sledding ended long before ours did, but we had a good time, anyway.

Up in the Snow
We haven't had any snow at our level yet this year - its been quite warm so far this year - but there was ample snow in the pass. We tried to go to the Hyak sledding area, but there were too many people, so we went on through the pass, and found a nice hill near a snomobile sno-park.

Snowy Scene
We were only there for, literally, one good run down a hill, and the little guy was done. Too cold, and he didn't like getting snow on him. We tried, but couldnt convince him to change his mind, so we headed out for lunch. It was a fairly nice day, and the views in Summit were quite nice!

Pancake House
The Pancake House is sadly not the place it used to be... but the pancakes are still good, and the little guy said it was his 'best lunch ever'... high praise!

Oozing ice
The ice, warmed by the sun and pulled by gravity, slowly slides off the roof, making an interesting formation as you head to the door.

Snowy trees
We headed on back down to the foothills for home. We enjoyed the scenery on the way down... there's just something about seeing trees with snow on them that makes you feel good.
