Checking in
There wasn't much of a crowd at the gate. I decided to go Friday afternoon... found a flight leaving at 5am or so on Saturday.

Not very full
The plane was bout half full at best... not many people flying out that early on a Saturday, I guess.

Over Seattle
The early morning view of Seattle, just before we entered the clouds. We were over the clouds all day

Landing in Chicago
After 4 hours or so, we were in Chicago.

Interesting walkway
This walk way went from 'B' to the main terminal, under the taxiway between the buildings. I thought it was pretty nicely decorated.

O'Hare
I had tons of time, so I ambled on my way to my gate (which was in 'F'), and checked things out... the structure looked pretty interesting.

Butch's plane
O'Hare is named for a WW2 Pilot, in case you were wondering.

Medal of Honor winner
Butch O'Hare won the medal of honor for his service, which was prominently displayed in an alcove in the airport.

Small gate
You know you're headed to podunckville when you have to go down stairs to the tarmac level to your gate...

Small plane
I got on a CRJ-400 commuter jet for the final leg of my trip to New England. Flying to Manchester is cheaper than flying to Boston's Logan airport. Manchester's Airport is owned by Logan, curiously enough.

In line
While lining up, it was interesting to watch the planes come in on the same runway... that takes some coordination.

Behind us
Planes were stacked up behind us as well... guess there's something to the 'busiest airport' moniker.

Next up
Before too long, we pulled onto the runway and were on our way.

Bored
When you're bored, you'll read anything! =] This actually seemed like a good idea, though.

Merrimac River
Crossing the Merrimac... that means you're close...

Manchester
I was treated to a nice view of Manchester on the way in...

Empty airport
The airport was empty... I went the 'old' way to the car rental area, and was basically by my self.

The Moose
Not sure when they put this guy in there... but its been in the terminal for a while...

Closer
I always forget that this sign is coming up until it's too late... this is about the closest I've gotten

In Maine
Crossing into Maine... the first leg of my trip was done.
