The Shadow Lady went to a Jungle Survival Course, part of a Reset Agency program she had joined. She sent me some pictures... looks interesting!

Arrival
The agency owns quite a bit of land. The base camp was a very nice house overlooking the valley they would be training in.

Pack Inspections
Reset Island is run by former Special Ops guys. Before they left, they transferred their stuff into an ALICE pack, and verified the packing list.

Ready to go
This brings back memories!

Hiking down to the jungle
Before long, they were hiking down to the valley floor to begin their week of fun and festivities. Their first task was building their latrines and setting up shelters, which were Army Surplus jungle hammocks.

Lunch
They fished, dug roots, and set snares for food.

Plant briefing
Early on, they got a briefing on what plants were edible, and what plants were not.

Cleaning roots
They cut some roots, then cleaned it in a stream, then boiled out the bitter taste - changing the water a few times. In the end, it sort of tasted like sweet potatoes.

Nice scenery
The area they were in was pretty picturesque.

Interesting bug
This drew some attention. I'm assuming it wasn't good to eat.

Rope bridge
One of the bigger events was constructing a rope bridge across a river, then using it.

Heading over
The Shadow Lady heads over the bridge. Other tasks were repelling, building a raft, and a Zip line.

Relaxing before returning
Before they flew home, they spent some time relaxing on a private beach as part of a graduation ceremony. It was nice having her back home!

Waiting for mom
The little guy and I explored the airport a bit while waiting for mom to come home.
