It was a quiet, calm, warm fall day, so we went to the lake for a picnic of sorts after swinging by a take-out joint on the way home.

Nice color
We were blocked by the ridge, but the hills across the lake were getting the last bits of sunlight, which made for a pretty striking view.

Waning light
We watched the shadow of the ridge climb up the hills on the other side of the lake... it was very nice.

Tossing rocks
The little guy broke the silence by tossing rocks...

The late afternoon made for a very quiet and still surface on the lake... it was pretty nice!

Very nice
It wasn't the most exciting of outings, but for me, it'll be one that I remember for quite a while, I think...
