In addition to the North Bend Sewer Expansion Project, which has been ripping up the whole town, a new Park and Ride is being built, along with cleanup of the Western entrance into our fair town.

Cleaning up
Just as you leave town on North Bend Way, which used to be State Route 10 (the road that took you through the pass before I-90 was built), the town is building a park and ride where an old saw mill used to be

Lots of digging
Long gone, the sawmill building burned and was razed quite a wile ago. The lot was used as a parking lot of sorts They're digging quite a ways down for some of it, so maybe the park and ride will have more than one floor.

Clearing the old
They've removed quite a bit of debris buried in the fill...

Sprucing things up
Across the street, they're putting in new sidewalks, and cleaning up empty lots. It seems like it'll end up looking quite a bit better on that end of town! The area was tore up during the sewer project, the result of a larger main being installed to handle the expansion.

New Road
They've also cut a new road, extending a road to connect it with North Bend way. That should ease pressure in town, because now there's another option to get into downtown from the north.

Finishing up
In the downtown area, the sewer project is wrapping up... Its been a long summer for the construction guys, I'm sure!
