2010.09.05 - Watching the Train
< Back to Currently

One of the more curious things our home town has is a working train station. The train that stops there only goes from there to a station in a neighboring town, but its still there. The little guy enjoys watching the trains, and after a lunch with Grandma, we went outside and watched the train go by.

Crossing the tracks
When out walking after eating, I heard the train's whistle in the distance, so we crossed the tracks and waited for the train to come

Showing off the tracks
A lady was walking her dog, an stopped to let him say hi to the dog... he carefully told her about the tracks, and that the train was coming, and to be careful.

Here comes the train!
He was pretty excited about the train coming!

Historic cars
The rail cars are from the Snoqulmie Valley Railroad Museum.

Passengers
Several passengers ride the rail route between North Bend and Snoqualmie.

The Engine
He was thrilled that the engineer waved to him.. =]

Heading on to the station
Not far down the track from where we were, the train stops at the North Bend rail station.
