2010.08.12 - Marine Layer
< Back to Currently

The annual fall marine layer period is upon us... a sure sign that summer is coming to an end (finally!). It makes for cooler days, and more interesting weather, I think anyway.

Heading into North Bend
Coming down into North Bend from where I live, the fog layer is visible in the distance

Fog
It seemed to split the city right in the main intersection of town

Entering the bank
There was a line, pretty much on Bendigo, which is the main crossroad with North Bend Way

Foggy weather
Driving on Bendingo toward Snoqualmie...

Nice Scenery
I enjoy fog quite a bit. Its one of those little things in life that I hope I never get tired of

Sun shine
The sun was shining above the fog, so its time was limited, I'm sure.

Below the layer
Farther down the slopes into the lowlands, the fog layer was more of a low cloud layer... it was thicker as you got closer to the Sound, and it ended up hanging around to about 1 or 2 or so... keeping the temperatures much more moderate than they could have been.
