Argosy
Argosy is the largest of the 'tour cruise' lines in the Puget Sound... Argosy started out as a ferry service, but then the owner realized that more folks were riding for the information the captain was giving out while driving the ferry than they were to get someplace, and he changed his business model.

Interesting Colors
Now you know why its called 'Emerald Bay'... I thought the light caught the water very nicely as we were walking down to the boat...

Spirit of Seattle
The ship is named for the Chief, not the city...

Pulling out
It wasn't too long before we were under way...

Sunny Day
With the sun, a lot of folks were below decks, where there was shade

Space Needle
The Space Needle, built for the 1962 World's Fair is one of the more popular landmarks in the city. Its foundation weighs more than the tower structure, putting the center of gravity below ground.

Its in the P-I
This globe inspired the globe used in the Superman Comics. Sadly, the newpaper only has a 'Web Release' now.

Olympics
The views over the Sound were pretty impressive.

Seattle
The Seattle Skyline is pretty impressive, I think.

Nice view
Mt Rainier provided a nice backdrop for this scene...

Coast Guard Cutter Polar Sea
The largest and most powerful conventionally powered cutter, the Polar Sea is in dry docks for servicing.

Navy Frigate
A US Navy Frigate was also in dry docks.

Container Ship
Its amazing how much these big container ships can hold!

Reflection of Seattle's Skyline
The seas were very calm, making for a very impressive picture...

Ferry
As we were pulling in to the docs, a ferry was also docking. We had a great trip around the bay, and the information the captain relayed was pretty interesting... I'll have to do that again!
