We went down to Monte for Memorial Day... we don't make it over to see family as much as we should, so I was particularly glad to have the opportunity to go... it'd been way too long!

Wet drive
It rained for most of the drive down... but at least it wasn't sunny! Traffic wasn't too bad at all...

Setting up
We got there just as they were setting things up... perfect timing! It was good to see everyone again!

Getting there...
It wasn't too long before lots of good stuff showed up... if we have one thing at these gatherings... its enough food!  No one goes hungry, that's for sure!

Playing on the Plano
The little guy really likes to play with the 'Plano'. He mentioned it as soon as we told him where we were going... he's got a pretty good memory.

 

Lined up
All of the cousins got into it... they put on a 30-finger concert!

Catching up
A good amount of time - especially when the drizzle was a bit heavier than drizzle - was spent catching up with everyone.  We're not all in the same place at the same time as often as we should be, I don't think.

Warming up
Between periods of rain, 'The Game' broke out. The Shadow Lady's family really takes the Wiffle Ball game very seriously. The little guy wanted a turn at bat, and got one, and actually managed to hit one... but he forgot to run. =]

Serious business
No messing around... its all business, and they keep score.

Playing a game
The little guy came inside now and again... it was too much fun playing a version of 'Connect Four' to simply stay outside! We had a great time, and had a good time visiting with family, which is how holidays should be spent!
