Down the trail
He barely looked at the water drums this time... and instead bolted for the trail to throw some rocks. He'd been talking about it all week, and was looking foward to it!

Playing with the water
He found a suitable stick, and spent some time 'Fishing', as he called it this time.

Over the road
Down below, the water was coming down more forcefully than normal, and it was flowing over the roadway, which is a bike trail.

Watching the water
It'd been raining the last few days, and it seems the effects were making themselves known... the little guy enjoyed watching the water flow where it usually doesn't!

Higher than typical
The lake, also, was higher than normal... the beach was about 10 feel shorter than normal.

A good one
He still had fun throwing rocks!

The Ledge
The Ledge was out again...

Underwater
I typically throw rocks at this stump, which is underwater, while he watches from 'the lookout'

The tunnel stump
The tunnel stump was at the water's edge...

In the lookout
The little guy still enjoyed checking out the view from 'the lookout'

Heading through
He really likes going through the tunnel...

Detour
On this day, though, the water was blocking the normal exit, so he had to squeze through a side hole... he still had fun, though, and went through several times.

Mocton's story
I took some pictures of a sign that told the story of Mocton...

Flooded house
This picture makes it look like it happened all at once, but it actually took about 6 months for the town to flood, and it did it in just a few inches a day... most folks had plenty of time to get their stuff out, and a lot of them even moved their whole house.

Mocton
Mocton was a city of about 200 people when the Cedar Falls Dam caused the town to flood into what is now Rattlesnake Lake. You can see the Ledge in the picture that also shows the town... and where the town was, there's water now.

Heading into the Center
After our trek along the shoreline, we went back into the center, to play with the balls again.

Checking out the Ledge
'There's people up there!' He had fun checking out the scope set up to view the lake and ledge.

His pic
The little guy noticed I was using a new phone, and wanted to try taking a picture, too... this is the one he took, which shows the portion of the tubes that go through the 'treatment plant'... all part of the water cycle.
