2010.05.02 - A drive to pick up a Motorcycle
< Back to Currently

One of my wife's coworkers had a bike he needed moved to North Bend, so I offered to drive to his place and move it for him... I took the little guy along with me, to give mom a break, and let her get some work done.

At Church
The Shadow Lady sang on the worship team... always a great treat!

Cleaning the Tail Lights
We headed out right after church... when I stopped for gas in the Pass, I asked the little guy to help me with the lights...

Doing a good job
He really got into it! He had a great time making sure he got 'all the dirt'!

Chilly
It was a bit chilly and breezy

Army Men
We were on the same route the units at Ft Lewis take to get to the Yakima Training Center... The little guy enthusiastically pointed out the Hummers...

Eastern Washington
The contrast between the Western and Eastern portions of Washington is pretty striking!

All loaded up
We fashioned a ramp with a couple of 4x4 fence posts, and had the bike in my truck bed and tied down in no time.

Heading back to the clouds
On the way back, it was pretty funny to see the clouds thickening as we got closer to the Mountains, and Western Washington.

Road Maintenance
Nearing the Pass, they were doing roadwork. They're widening the road through the pass, which will take most of the year to complete.

In the Pass
It was a whopping 32 degrees when we were heading back over the pass... no snow, but it sure felt a lot colder than it did heading the other way!

Road Work in North Bend
Back in North Bend, the construction is still going on. I dropped off the bike, and headed for home... even though it was just a drive, the little guy and I still had a good time.
