2010.05.01 - Early Morning Water Drums
< Back to Currently

We live right down the road from the Cedar River Watershed, which is where Seattle gets most of its water from. They have an information center set up, and outside, they have a water drum garden... the little guy really likes it there!

Heading to the drums
True to the Northwest way... It was damp from rain overnight. It'd stopped, but it was still a bit drizzly...

The information center
The center is pretty interesting, and the little guy and I check it now now and again.

Water Drums
Local natives set drums under trees where they'll be dripped on... they call it the song of nature... the park recreates that, only with computer-controlled drips.

Mesmerized
The little guy really likes listening to the drums... and watching the water hit them!

The Ledge
Rattlesnake Ledge was nearly hidden by low clouds... it was a very calm, quiet morning

Cheese Log
He calls this the Cheese Log, because he sits on it and says 'cheese!' so I'll take a picture

Having fun!
He really has a good time... and so do I.
