We went to a hockey game... our first 'date' in a very long time! It was a gift from the Shadow Lady, and even though the T-Birds didn't do so well, we had a great time! Auntie A watched the little guy for us, which was an awesome gift in itself!

ShowWare Center
Last year, the T-Birds moved to a new facility... this was our first time at the new hockey barn. Not sure what 'ShowWare' is, but it was a pretty sharp looking building.

Nice Facility
There was a lot of room inside... the color choices were a bit interesting, we thought.

Dominated
Right from the start, the T-Birds were dominated. The shots on goal quickly leaned very heavily in Everett's favor

Cool Bird
During an intermission, Cool Bird went out on the ice in a go-cart... it looked pretty fun!

Trike Race
One of the events was a bike race... it was a commanding lead at this point, but by the time they got to the finish line, the guy trailing had nearly caught up.

Face Off
Starting the 2nd Period... my favorite, because the teams are crossed up with the benches.

Zambonis
They had two Zambonis, which was faster, but it seemed that they didn't have the experience they needed, because they left quite a few gaps.

Nice Barn
The new building is VERY NICE

Lots of room
The sound level was good, the crowd was close enough so that there wasn't a bad seat in the house, and the place just felt like hockey belonged there... which wasn't really the case for the Key.

Good crowd
A pretty good crowd showed up for the game. With the lackluster play, we were all pretty quiet, but I'd bet that if things were going the T-Bird's way, it'd get pretty loud pretty quick!

More pressure
The SOG ratio kept creeping Everett's way, and while the goalie did a pretty good job, the score started to creep up. We left a bit early, to beat the crowd out, and to get a head start on the trip home... it was a good distance back up into the foothills! It was a great evening, and a very nice opportunity to spend some time with just 'us'... that's been pretty rare lately!
