The Snoqualmie Valley Historical Society sponsors a small museum in town. After literally hundred's of times saying we should go there 'some day'... we finally did

The Museum
The museum is located just on the edge of the old section of town, on the main road from the Interstate.

Rustic
When my home town back in Maine was stalling electricity and trolley cars, folks in North Bend were just starting to hack out a spot for them to live.

A bit rougher
This road near Rattlesnake Ridge speaks of a much rougher time, that's for sure!

A cool book
This likely would be a good book to read.

Pioneers
The lady in the center wrote the book.

Early North Bend
This was taken about 25 years into the settlement of my current home town.

100 years ago
This kitch is representative of the time when North Bend was incorporated... things sure were different back then!

Indoor water... you had to pump it yourself, but still, it was a luxury!

The 'fancy table' that Jeremiah Borst made for his family... I really enjoyed the look into North Bend's history... and I'll be sure and go back and do it again... sooner rather than later!
