2009.03.24 - At the shop again

My Jeep's header gasket went out, so I called the shop I normally bring it to, but they seemed to be too busy, and it needed work done on the carburator that they said they coudn't do, so I found another place...

Ron's Automotive
My Jeep's headers came loose... I tightened them, and they sounded better, but one of the gaskets got burned, and was useless... so since I needed work done on the carburator, I found a place to bring it to. The entrance left a lot to be desired... =] But, I suppose you don't bring your vehicle to a shop because it looks really nice... so long as they do a good job, eh?

Flame
I found a place to park it, but then I didn't find a key drop there, so I parked it outside of thier gate, even though it wasn't locked, so it'd be near the key drop.

Backlog
Ron's is located out on the edge of town - although there's a new business park being constructed nearby, so that might change - and they had quite a big lot... there were a lot of vehicles there, probably waiting for parts, or something, because he had room.

Variety of years
I noticed that they had a fairly wide assortment of vehicles waiting to be worked on... some of the vehicles weren't that old. My Jeep, a 1972, likely was one of the more elderly vehicles there... =]

Rural view
They did a great job on the jeep... it runs better than ever! They ended up fixing it in less time than they said, and beating the estimate... can't argue with that! Looks like I found a new favorite shop to bring it to! The view from Ron's was pretty nice, I thought. I really like living where I do... have I ever said that before?
