2008.12.19 - Out in the Snow
< Back to Currently

The Shadow Lady had an appointment in Bellevue, so we dug out the Mariner, and headed in to town.  Listening to the radio, you'd have thought that we were in the ice age or something... they were going on and on about the snow.

With the Sun out, I thought it looked spectacular!

The back yard was looking like a very hard puzzle!  =]

Rattlesnake Ledge looked very striking!

There's just something about snowy trees...

It was a very peaceful morning!

After cleaning the mariner off, I took a picture of the house...

I've seen two different snowplows, and a grader... I think that that's the compliment of the North Bend snow removal snow team... but they did a pretty good job!

Down on the Highway, it wasn't that bad... despite what we heard on the radio.

Bellevue looked different under a layer of snow!  It doesn't snow very often down in the lowlands... so when it does, people tend to freak out.

The roads had a varying degree of snow, slush, and ice.  They weren't too bad if you were careful.

After the appointment, we decided to go "the back way" to see how things were.
Highway 520 was clear, and very drivable.

Route 202, which goes from Redmond to North Bend, was packed snow and ice, but it wasn't too bad... it certainly wasn't as bad as they were saying it was on the radio, that's for sure!
