We went to church, then left for the stadium. We
caught the bus in to town after parking in a park and
ride... it makes it easier to get in and out. After a
short walk from where the bus let off... as we got close, we
were treated to a GREAT view of the stadium!

Outside, there were monster
trucks, which were onsite to help attract attention to "Toys
for Tots"... those things are pretty impressive vehicles

"Blue Thunder" was outside,
helping to whoop up the crowd before the game.

We went through the Fan
Experience Center, and enjoyed the pregame festivities...
they had the pregame show going, and they had bleachers set
up to watch it live - in person. Johnsonville was also
giving away free samples to Brats... good stuff!

On our way back to the gates,
and inside the stadium, I posed with one of the trucks.

A preview of how high we had
to climb... its a BIG stadium!

The team was announced to a
hail of fireworks and smoke...

Sam Atkins, a QB in the mid to
late 70's, and the only Seahawk to wear the number 12, rased
the 12th man flag, and then raised the volume of the
crowd...

Catching the initial
kickoff... even though I'd brought my "little" camera, it
did a pretty good job!

The first punt of the game...
the Seahawks jumped ahead with a 14-3 start, and things were
looking good
for the home team! I was in a great situation where I
liked both teams... =]

Wallace was spot on with his
short game. he had a really good game. The Pats had a tough
time with the coverage all day, it seemed.

Symetra Financial, where I
used to work, sponsors a "teacher of the week", announced
just before halftime.

I was surprised at all the "xBox"
ad's there were during the game... they were all over the
place!

Early in the second half, a
play was challenged. There was a GREAT run by Branch,
and the Pats protested, saying that he stepped out early in
his run. The call stood, and the Seahawks were in a
great position to score.

As the second half progressed,
though, it seemed the hawks were getting less and less
pressure on the Pats QB. He seemed to have all day to
throw!

Play after play... it seemed
to get more and more obvious!

Then, late in the game, the
Pats switched to a no-huddle scheme, and the Seahawk's
defense seemed to have a lot of difficulty adjusting
to the new pace of the game

The Pats pulled ahead with
about 2 1/2 minutes to go...

The Seahawks moved the ball
well, but just after they crossed into the Patriots half of
the field, they fumbled the ball with less than a minute and
a half left. With no timeouts, the Pats simply knelt
the ball three times, and drained the clock.
It was a good game

Leaving the stadium, I stopped
for a "I was there" picture.

A friend of mine from church
went with me. He's been a 'Hawks fan for much longer
than I have, and really enjoyed the game, except for the
end.

As the sea of humanity
streamed out of the stadium, the Seattle Skyline put on a
great show!

We rode back to the park and
ride on the bus... since we were in the "free zone", we
parked and rode for free...
what a deal!

It was a great game, and a
great way to spend a fall afternoon...
the Seahawks lost the game, but the Patriots won, so it
wasn't a bad deal at all! =]
