I'm not one for liking "Wall
to Wall" blue skies, and the Big Yellow Thing,
but
as we got into the hills, it was VERY calming...
The drive up to the pass is
pretty spectacular on some days... and today was one of
those days!
Seems we weren't the only ones
with that idea... it was pretty full in the restaurant, but
not too bad...
While I enjoy the menu quite a
bit, its not so much the food, as the setting.
In another month, these trees will be covered in snow...
but today, they stood out crisply against the blue sky,
and the craggy peaks in the background.
The drive back down was just as nice as heading up...
hints of color were in the bushes and deciduous trees
Its one of those drives where you don't mind going under
the speed limit, so that it'll last a bit longer.
Its also one that really makes me glad that I live where
I live!
