We got to the stadium about 50 minutes before the
game was to start... and there wasn't very much of a crowd.
No backup on the highway heading into the stadium, until the
very end...

The parking lot told the story, as well... even though it
was the last weekend of baseball, folks had given up...

It was pretty eerie...

A half hour before the game was to start... the stadium
was bristling with the diehard fans...

When the players ran out on the field, you could almost
HEAR them running... it reminded me of the old days at the
King Dome! I don't think I'd ever seen the stadium so
empty for a game!

There was a breeze, and there was a guy in the seat next
to our seats who had a broken leg, and was taking up several
including ours, so we went inside, and watched the game from
the lounge.

Normally there's people everywhere, but today, security
outnumbered patrons...

The little guy wanted to look around... he had a blast!

He seemed a little chilly, so I gave him a hit of my
Starbucks Coffee.... (not really, but he had fun playing
with it... it had coffee in it, and I just made sure he
didn't spill too much of it.

Just before the 7th inning stretch, we decided to head
out... the M's were up 6-2, after a flurry of runs in the
first few innings, and the game was pretty dead, and the
fans who were there weren't into the game, either... we won,
it it was sad to see how far down the season had wore the
fans, including us. We're actually thinking of
skipping a couple years before we get a ticket pack again...
maybe we can do the Tacoma Rainiers instead.
