I got a call a few days ago, asking for help with "Doorbelling".  The Re-elect Dino Rossi for Governor local campaign coordinator was asking for more bodies to do a walking poll, so I volunteered.

The Shadow Lady came with me, and we had a nice afternoon talking, walking, and asking questions.  It was a fun time!

 

It was a VERY sunny day!  I'd have preferred more clouds, but it was a pretty nice day - especially for September!

We met at a landmark everyone was sure to find... =]

We got our packets, and she briefed us on what we were supposed to do... it seemed to me that all the attention to details made it seem harder than it was.  After all, we were walking the route on our sheets, knocking on the doors of  people on our list, and asking 5 questions, marking down their answers.  It didn't seem to bad to me.

We also could grab some marketing stuff from the candidates, which were cards and brochures, to give out to the folks who wanted it.  No one wanted any of it on my route.

There were a lot of hills, so the Shadow Lady went and got Gar to make things easier.  I had a lot of fun, and we managed to complete both the routes we were given, so it was a win for everyone.
