The traffic on the way up
wasn't too bad... except right as I was pulling into Seattle
itself. I was sort of "reverse" from the main body of
the commuters, though, so I was lucky.

ON the way, I passed by the
tower that held our old office... the flag at the top is
supposedly the highest displayed flag in the US, although I
don't know that for sure.

The new office is right across
the parking lot from a Starbucks

The company does a lot of
stuff with Mac's, and there were a bunch set up where we
were working

us Windows guys were a bit
outnumbered... =]

In the afternoon, I noticed
that the "big mosquito bite" I had from the spider was
getting worse. By about 2 or so, I started feeling
ill, and feverish, around 4, my whole leg was swollen, and I
felt terrible. The plan was to watch a movie, visit,
pizza and some beverage after work was done... but I had to
head out and miss the fun.

I stopped by Overlake Hospital
on the way home.... and saw this funny sign outside the
elevators in the parking lot. I guess if you have a
bad cold, you're just out of luck.

The lobby was quite nice, but
they were pretty slow

after a while, I was screened,
then sent to a room to be checked out. They set up to
cut away the dead, black skin, and squeeze out the
nastiness... fun!

After some numbing stuff, they
started cutting...

They put some sort of goopy
stuff in my leg, and gave me an IV... they also took a
sample for the lab.

Then, he stuffed the hole he'd
made with some packing cloth, so that it would 'drain'...

I talked an intern into taking
a picture... It ended up that I was fine. I had
a nasty infection, but I guess I got there early enough that
I wasn't all that bad off -- although they said I probably
should have come in earlier if I could have. I had to
pull the packing material out of the hole, the next day, and
change the bandages a few times a day... certainly NOTHING
compared to the "other" spider bite!
