2008.07.22 - Our Surprise
< Back to Currently

A new way to do the "Currently" items.

In an effort to streamline the process and make it easier to 'keep up', I'm changing the format.  The funny thing is that its the same format I started out with, back when the "picture pages" were pretty much what the "Currently pages" are now.

So, they won't look as fancy, but they'll be faster to generate, and manage, which will mean they'll likely be more of them...

Most of my family like the New England Teams - Patriots, Bruins, Celtics and of course the Red Sox.  Our roots are there.  So, when my cousin came to town, and the Red Sox were in town, you could be sure that we'd be at one of the games...

We didn't tell him that the Sox were playing the Mariners... we'd gone to a game the first day he was here, so this one was a surprise.

This was his first Red Sox game, so it was that much more fun, too... we had a great time -- well the Shadow Lady didn't like the "Sea of Red" so much... when the BoSox are in town, its almost like its a home game, because so few Mariners fans show up.

we got there during the Sox batting practice

We enjoyed watching Manny cream the balls during his times in the cage!

the little guy, in his Mariners hat, was having a great time!

He stared at my hat, though... usually I'm wearing a Mariners hat... seems he ntoiced

He played with mom while the pre-game stuff went on

The US Army did a fly over... very impressive!

Dickey, the Mariners knuckeballer, pitched... he did pretty well, allowing only a couple of runs, but it was enough for the Sox to get a lead and hold it.

Manny, right before he took off

We had a view of Jerry Remy, the Red Sox TV sportscaster.  I remember when he played.

Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuk!
He sure holds his bad funny when he's waiting for the pitch, but its working for him -- he's having a GREAT season!

The grounds crew danced to the delight of everyone!  =]

It was a GREAT night for baseball, and we got a good opportunity to test out the seats we're thinking of switching to once we have to pay for an extra seat for the little guy... it was a very fun night!
