Our Neighborhood Association held its annual business
meeting to discuss the changes in the fee structure for our
water (we own our water supply and deliver system), and the
association fees - which handle costs associated with a
dedicated police patrol, and care and maintenance of the
park.
The fees are going up, so there were some people at the
meeting who weren't very happy, but for the most part, the
increases seemed to make sense, to me, anyway.
We walked through the park to get to where the meeting
was... its a great plus for the neighborhood, if you ask me!

The association president kept us on track, and kept the
meeting moving along for the most part... it was difficult
at times
We also got a briefing by the county Fire Chief, who went
over things we could do about preventing fires, since we
live right "in the wilderness" as he put it.
The County Sherriff also talked to us about safety, and how
her budget cuts would affect us, and the costs for the extra
patrols we pay for. She also told us to email the
executive council to try and reverse the cuts he was making!
On the way home, I snapped a picture of the street... what a
nice neighborhood to live in!
