We went down to Grays Harbor County to be with family for the Fourth of July.  Its my 4th one, and it will likely remain a great tradition!

The little guy, of course, was a big hit... =]  He made sure he knew were mom was, but he didn't mind being handed around too much...

There's just something about being around family that you don't get anywhere else!

We had TONS of food!!!  Its awesome!

The little guy got his first taste of watermelon... he liked it!

It was fun to be able to visit with everyone... we don't get down there near enough, unfortunately, so there's a lot to catch up on.

We put a good dent in the food, that's for sure!

 
Down by the river, the kids found a pretty good spattering of snails.

as always, the water balloon fight was a HUGE hit!

 
Inside, the little guys were getting their afternoon naps in...

So that the Shadow Lady could play volleyball, I went ahead and did the hard task of making sure the rocking chair was moving at the correct pace.  =]

 
Eventually we had to say our good-byes... Its fun to watch the little ones stare at each other and make faces... =]

Before we trekked back home, we stopped by the church, where construction on the new section has started, and checked out how far they'd gotten. 

It was really nice to see that they'd finally gotten going on the project.  They've also got a new pastor coming on board -- things are looking up again!

They're just about ready to do the big pour - its going to be one BIG slab, that's for sure!
