2008.06.27 - Out for a walk at Rattlesnake Lake

It was a nice day, and the little guy was getting a bit fussy, so I decided to change the scenery a bit, and headed out to Rattlesnake Lake for a quick walk around lunch time.  The Lake is only a few miles from our house, so its a relatively easy thing to do.

The little guy's mood perked right up!

I managed to get a series of pictures, but one of them came out darker than the others, so the sky doesn't look all that good, but you get the idea... its a VERY pretty area to go for a walk!

Contrasted against the blue sky, Rattlesnake Ridge, with its Ledge, is pretty impressive!

I walked over to the other side of the lake, where some geese were getting some rest in the early afternoon sun.

He got pretty excited at the big birds, and we worked our way closer to them.

Actually, they didn't mind us at all... they're pretty tame, and once they figured out he was in the carriage, and not a free roamer, they didn't really care how close we got.

A dog ran up, and that changed things... a few barks, and they were in the water.

We watched the geese swim past where we were, then walked back to the truck.  He was asleep by the time we were back home.  =]
