After I got home from work - I actually had to head in to
the office - I decided to take advantage of the intermittent
sun, and take flame up to Olalie State park, to see what the
snow situation was like there...
There wasn't a lot of snow, but I had a good time getting
there, anyway.
Its a relatively short drive to the park from where we
live... but it's still fun to drive the old Jeep... its
slowly coming along, and will soon be "well enough" to drive
a lot more often.

The scenery on the road the park is on is pretty nice!
Situated on a river, at the outlet of a small generation
station the park isn't very large, but its a nice place for
scenery.

An old bridge marks where the route down from the Pass used
to go... its still open to road traffic, although its days
of being an important route down out of the mountains is
long passed. An old railroad bridge spans the same stream,
although a bit farther up the slope. It, too, is a
relic of the past... that portion of the line was moved when
the new Snoqualmie Tunnel was dug, making train traffic MUCH
safer through to Eastern Washington.

After a few photos, I jumped back in Flame, and drove back
home... I stopped for a bit to take a quick picture of the
Snoqualmie... The view from the bridge over the river is
pretty nice!Have I mentioned that I REALLY like living
where I do??? Its easy to "get away", without having to
drive very far to do it!
