With all the snow, we wanted to see what the pass looked
like... it'd been a while, and we figured that SOME of it
was gone - the pass only got a dusting from the snow earlier
today (which gave us 6 inches), but we went up there to see
it anyway. When we got up to the exit to Summit, we were
not disappointed!

The snow was stacked pretty high... and the main road,
normally several lanes wide, was reduced to 2.The snow
had about buried the Family Pancake House, and the hotel
it's a part of...

  |
This car was deeply buried in the snow...
So much snow had piled up on the car, that it was
crushing the roof...

 |
It was a nice, wintry scene, though!
It was odd to us that there weren't more people up there
skiing... and the lifts were stopped... maybe there was an
avalanche danger, or something, but it seemed that folks
were passing up a GREAT day to ski!

  |
On the way back down, we had a GREAT view of the start of
the Snoqualmie Valley... which is part of why we like to
make the drive up there now and again! While it had been
sunny on the Pass, it was snowing where we live... and
pretty heavily! It's funny how the weather can be so
different only a few miles away.
