Wednesday, not long after the sun had set, I happened to notice that it had started to snow when I checked the front door to make sure it was unlocked, so The Shadow Lady could come in - she was at the church, practicing for choir.

The snow we'd gotten in the early morning melted by noon or so... but it seemed we were in for a bit more...

It wasn't a lot, but unlike yesterday, it was starting earlier in the night, and it was going to get colder... so the chance was there for a decent amount to fall before it turned to rain.

It was starting to stick in the driveway by 9pm... the road was still pretty clear, though.

I was VERY curious to see what the morning would bring!

 
When morning came, I kept waking up to see what time it was... 2:30.... 3:10... 3:50... 4:25... so I got up and cheked it out...

It wasn't bad... only about 1 1/2 or so.

 
The driveway had just over a half inch of slush, covered with a crusty, snowy layer.  I probably didn't need to scrape it off, but since I was up - and I'm from Maine - I did anyway.  It was fun to be out there, at least.

It was a bit blustery, and the snow was being blown off the trees... but not bad... just enough to make it nice.
