We were both elected as delegates at our precinct caucus, so
we went to our District Caucus. The majority of the
effort at that caucus was electing people to the state
caucus, in Spokane.Quite a few people showed up... we're
the only district in the county where all of the people
representing us are from our party... so we're being
"targeted" this year... we have some strong people in
office, and they're doing a good job, but its still going to
be ugly this year, it seems.

It was held at the Issaquah "Freshman Campus"... a school
larger than the high school I went to, just for Freshman.
Its already full, and overcrowded... seems they'll be
building more schools shortly.
Things were just getting underway when we arrived.. the
meeting was called to order about 10 minutes later...
perfect timing. :-) It took from 9 until 11 just
to figure out how many folks we had seated in order for the
elections to begin... things weren't going very smoothly.

Reagan Dunn talked to us for a while, filling us in on what
we're up against in the coming election season, and getting
us fired up for Dino (who's also from our district, by the
way). Then came the elections for the state caucus
representatives... they had a miserable counting set up, and
things REALLY drug out.

Even the little guy got bored with everything, and took a
nap.We listened to people lobby their cause to get
elected while they were counting the first tally... it
looked as if there were going to be a lot of rounds before
it was all over...
We didn't stay -- we had plans for the afternoon, and we
were all hungry... not sure how long it all took, but the
first round was still going on at quarter to 1.
