The Shadow Lady and I met while we worked for Safeco Life... so the "Olympic" building, and the campus it was on, has some cool memories for us...

Since then, Safeco sold off its Life Company, and Symetra, the resulting new company, moved its offices to Bellevue.  Safeco then sold the campus, and the Olympic building to Microsoft. The Shadow Lady now works for Microsoft, and had some meetings in the old building... To show just how awesome a woman she is, she brought a camera with her... :-)

Not much has changed on the outside, it seems... the "Life Insurance" tag above the door is gone, and the "Safeco Life" signs have finally been replaced with Microsoft markings.

The cubes are gone, replaced with actual offices.  That must be nice!

Other than a new paint job, the stairwells are the same.

 
The old view is still there - including the "bent tree" that graced so many sunrise pictures.
