We dedicated our son to God today. 

The dedication is more of a promise on our part to raise him with God in mind while diligently seeking His advice and direction.  Its also a call to the church body to assist us in that endeavor, as well as the family.

The Shadow Lady's family was there, which was very nice!

A friend of ours took pictures... "This was one time when I knew you wouldn't be able to take pictures!"  He was right, and we appreciate him being on the ball!

The wide angle shots are from screen captures of the video from my camcorder... I wasn't TOTALLY unprepared!  :-)

The little guy couldn't have been more mellow... he looked at the lights, the people, and whatever else grabbed his attention.

 
One of the sisters couldn't make it because she was singing at her church... my side of the family, of course, is much too far away!

Psalms 37:
3 Trust in the LORD and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.
4 Delight yourself in the LORD;
And He will give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the LORD,
Trust also in Him, and He will do it.

Then, he took him and prayed over him.

 

 
After praying, he walked the little guy around the sanctuary, showing him to his church family.

 
He handled it very well.

It was a great experience, and a lasting affirmation to the plan we have for us and him: to Trust, Delight and Commit ourselves to what God wants for us - and him.
