As a surprise for the Shadow Lady several months ago, I
picked up a few tickets to a Michael W. Smith Christmas
Concert at Overlake. Its not often he does events in
this sort of venue, so I jumped on them when I had heard
about them on the radio.
I got enough for her sisters, also, but it ended up that
they got tickets before I could let them know what I was
planning, so they went on their own.

I'm not sure if it was sold out or not, but it was pretty
crowded, so it might have been.

He brought the Katinas, a band of brothers from the South
Pacific.

He also brought Melinda Doolittle, a singer from the show,
"American Idol". Apparently, he saw the show, liked
how she sang, and asked her to join him on the tour.
She did well
|
Michael and the Katinas sang backup for her on a couple
songs... while the conductor, a friend of "the other Dubya"
|

It was very well done, and we had a great time.
He even sang "Friend are Friends forever..."
