2007.11.16 - A quick look at the Falls

When the Shadow Lady and I were driving home from from the Tadpole's doctor's appointment, we decided to swing through the town of Snoqualmie, and stop at the falls... it's been raining, and we thought it might be nice to see how the falls looked.

It didn't come out very well... but there's snow in the hills... the snow line has been as low as 2500 feet... the chance is there for a White Christmas!

The fog from the spray was billowing up to the observation deck when we got to the overlook... but you could still see that the flow was far above what it normally is!

(Compare this to the flow we saw in June)

The overlook provides a very nice, if somewhat precarious, view of the falls, and the gorge it has cut.

Just as we were leaving, the wind blew the mist away enough for a clear shot...

Not bad for a camera phone, eh?
