The Tadpole's (because, after all, he "...was a Bullfrog") first few days were spent in Overlake Hospital, while mom recovered.

He was checked out by a doctor at the pediatrician clinic we've signed on with - he passed all the tests with flying colors, thankfully!  Everything seems to work as designed.

Not long after morning broke, Dr Connor came in, and we went to the Circumcision Room... I will spare you the gory details, but yeah, I'm REALLY glad I don't remember that happening to me!!!  It hurt watching it happen, that's for sure!

Family down in Grays Harbor County sent very nice potted plant and a balloon.  Sometimes its hard living so far away from family!  (but, that's what this site is for, eh?)

The sunset on his second day was pretty impressive - I slept through the first one, so I don't know what it was like.  :-)

The hospital food wasn't too bad, actually.  I enjoyed it.  They seemed to have lots of extra plates, and once they found out I'd gladly take one, I didn't have a worry about food, that's for sure.

The little guy slept so peacefully...

Then, just before noon, the time came for us to head home.  We packed up all the stuff, and I carried it to the car... the first of many "Pack Mule" trips that are sure to be in my future!  :-)

He looked so cute in his outfit - which Antie M got for him... in our haste to head to the hospital, we forgot an outfit for him to come home in... we were SUPPOSED to have loaded the diaper bag THIS week, and we didn't think it was 'real', anyway.

He had pants to go with it, but he screamed bloody murder when we tried to get them on, so we opted for a receiving blanket instead.

He was asleep even before he got to the car... :)  We snapped his carrier in the car seat base, and headed home.

He took to his new digs very nicely...

The Shadow Lady got to change the first (of many) poopy diapers on the changing table... and we've both been christened already with the the tadpole's rendition of Old Faithful... :-)

Bath time was fun for all of us, except the little guy getting the sponge bath...

I set up the candy tray by the door, and lit a little pumpkin, hoping it'd let folks know that we were open for treats...

And, to fully enjoy the festive holiday, we put on the costume that Auntie M got him...

I probably WOULD have brought him out trick-or-treating... but I couldn't think of a way to bring it up to The Shadow Lady, so we didn't.

It was a fun night... the first of many, many more!
