Near where we live is a small park, Cascade Park.  We finally had an evening to relax, so we took a walk around the park, to see what we could see.

A community park, its got the usual city park features... a slides, swings, merry-go-around, picnic tables and bbq pits... but its also got a lake, with a trail around it.

 

Its very well maintained, and quite pleasant to walk in. 
 
 

 
There are two pavilions with picnic tables in them... there's also a large fire pit strategically placed between them.

The trail, about a mile or so long, snakes around the lake, and is very well maintained... seems that it gets a lot of use!

The park has been cleaned up, but still shows effects from the Wind Storm that hit us right before Christmas last year.

There are two play areas in the park... I'm sure I'll spend a considerable amount of time here! 
 

The small lake is big on views! 
 

 
Its a great way to wind down a day... and a very nice thing to have so close to where we live!
