We went down to Aberdeen for In the Light, a special worship
service put on by The Shadow Lady's hometown church once a
month. A trip down to the Wishaw valley is always a
fun trip, and this one did not disappoint, either. The
hotel we stay in (I've stayed there so often, they give me
the same room, now) has a great view of the river.

Signs of the passing times... rather than pull out the
pilings when a pier is no longer used, they simply cut the
pilings down near the mudline at low tide...
At the church, Mike hooked up the new sound board...
Each instrument and mike had its own channel... and the
sound quality was MUCH better!
After a night of rain, the river was pretty high at low
tide... meaning the high tide was going to be a bit higher
than average...The flooding wasn't bad, actually.
They're used to spring floods, and as they go, this one
wasn't very bad at all.
This mud slide made a mess of things.Again, they're used
to this sort of thing happening here... they had a turnout
right across from it, so that traffic could go around easily
enough.

The stream normally snakes through the field on the left
side of the road... but when the rain gets ahead of how much
the river can move, things back up, and eventually, they
cover the road...
All part of making a trip down to Cobain's Muddy Banks
that much more fun!
